What a receipt needs to have
A valid receipt identifies who is paying and who is receiving, the amount (in numbers and in words), what the payment is for, the date and place, and the signature of whoever received it. This generator assembles a receipt with that classic structure, ready to print or send as a PDF.
A receipt is not a substitute for an invoice
A receipt proves that a payment was received — it is not a tax document. If your activity requires issuing a formal invoice (most services billed by a Brazilian CNPJ do), the receipt is a complement, never a replacement: keep issuing the invoice through the appropriate channel.
The drawn signature is not a certified digital signature
The stroke drawn on the canvas represents your handwritten signature — it carries the same weight as a receipt signed by hand and printed, but it is not a certified digital signature (such as Brazil's ICP-Brasil) and uses no cryptographic verification mechanism. For documents that need the added legal weight of digital certification, Brazil's federal government offers a free electronic signature service through gov.br (Identidade Digital, in the Assinador de Documentos Digitais) — including for a PDF you already have, like this one.
Where your data stays
The entire receipt is assembled in your browser — what you type and the signature you draw are never sent to any server. If you check "remember my data", it is saved only in this browser's local storage (never synced or sent anywhere) until you delete it.
Frequently asked questions
Yes, like any signed receipt — its validity comes from what it states (parties, amount, date, signature), not from the software used to assemble it. It does not replace a formal invoice when one is required.
Yes, the signature is optional. The PDF is generated normally, just without an image above the signature line — you can sign by hand after printing it, if you prefer.
No. Providing the payer's CPF/CNPJ reinforces identification of who paid, but it is not required to generate the receipt — the field can be left blank.
If the interface is in Portuguese, the PDF is generated in Portuguese. If the interface is in English, you choose the document's language (Portuguese or English) at download time — useful if you bill clients abroad.
Yes. Choose the currency (Real or Dollar) in the "Currency" field — the amount in words and the numeral formatting adjust automatically.
Only if you check "remember my data in this browser" — unchecked by default. When checked, the provider's data (including the signature) is saved locally in this browser until you click "delete saved data".
